Company Overview:
This state-owned rail transportation central enterprise is the cradle of China's metro trains, EMUs and maglev trains, serving as the country's core R&D, manufacturing, maintenance and export base for rail passenger vehicles. As the earliest and largest exporter in the domestic industry, the company has successfully introduced its products into Asia, Oceania, Africa, the Americas and Europe. Its international business collaborations span across 24 countries and regions including the United States, Australia, Serbia and Colombia, with cumulative contract value exceeding $14 billion.
Responsibilities
- EMC Design & Control
- Lead and review EMC design for rolling stock and subsystems (e.g., traction systems, auxiliary systems).
- Develop and implement EMC measures in equipment layout, cabling, shielding, grounding, and filtering to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage spectrum compatibility between vehicles, trackside signaling systems, external power supply systems, and other infrastructure.
- Assess and implement safety measures regarding electromagnetic exposure for staff and passengers, including individuals with medical devices such as pacemakers.
- EMC Testing & Certification
- Ensure compliance with international EMC standards and regulations in the railway sector (EN, IEC, ISO, EU TSI/NOBO certification requirements).
- Design and execute compatibility tests between rolling stock and trackside signaling systems, including test methodology, data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
- Monitor and analyze differences in national EMC certification requirements across Europe (e.g., DEBO perspective) to support multi-country projects.
- Promote application of real-time monitoring and predictive technologies for vehicle electromagnetic characteristics.
- Interference Diagnosis & Mitigation
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues in rolling stock, covering both conducted and radiated emissions.
- Propose and implement mitigation solutions using advanced shielding materials, adaptive filters, composite grounding, harmonic suppression devices, and other EMC technologies.
- Simulation & Research
- Conduct and support full-vehicle EMC simulations (e.g., low-frequency magnetic fields, conducted circuit simulations).
- Apply mainstream EMC simulation software (CST, HFSS, COMSOL, etc.), evaluate strengths and weaknesses, and recommend appropriate tools.
- Develop and share simulation methodologies and best practices for future projects.
- International Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with headquarters in China and international project teams to support R&D projects and on-site issue resolution.
- Travel regularly to China to participate in project reviews, validation tests, and customer meetings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of proven EMC experience in the railway or related industries, preferably with system- or vehicle-level project involvement.
- Strong knowledge of international railway EMC standards and certification processes (EN 50121 series, IEC 61000 series, TSI/NOBO/DEBO requirements).
- Hands-on experience in EMC testing, interference troubleshooting, and simulation using professional equipment and software.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and international project experience, preferably in China–Europe collaboration.
- Willingness and ability to undertake short- and medium-term business trips to China and other locations.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German or Chinese is an advantage.
We Offer
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge railway R&D projects in Europe.
- Close collaboration with CRRC headquarters and global partners.
- Competitive salary and travel allowances.
- Professional development and technical training opportunities.
